Sonics & Materials, Inc. will be demonstrating their ultrasonic assembly systems for plastics and metal welding at ATX South in Charlotte, NC, April 15 - 16.
Celebrating their 45th year in business, Sonics manufactures a complete range of assembly equipment, tooling and systems, from hand held units to bench model presses to full in-line automated systems. Sonics also supplies ultrasonic generator kits and stack components directly to OEM systems integrators for installation into special assembly systems.
Sonics will be displaying ultrasonic plastics welders from its line of equipment available in 40, 35, 30, 20 and 15 kHz frequencies, with power ranging from 400 to 4500 watts.
Also on display will be Sonics’ ultrasonic metal welding systems including spot welders and wire splicers. The newly re-designed MW20 Ultrasonic Spot Welding System is now available in both right and left versions allowing multiple welders to be located within close proximity. The system’s M-Series power supply provides microprocessor control, color touchscreen interface, power graphing and electronic pressure regulation in power levels from 1500 to 4000 Watts.
Sonics MWS20 ultrasonic wire splicing system offers automatic splice width adjustment from 0.39 to 40 mm2 and its patented self-orienting horn permits simple, precise tool change in under one minute. With its unique single piece dual nodal mount horn and booster stack, the splicer streamlines wire harness assembly.
